waves in carpet

We showed up at a job and these waves were in the carpet from a previous cleaner. I did some spot checking and resigned to say it was like permanent pile distortion. The guy must have used a huge floor machine and either too high heat or way heavy or something. Then he must have realized it and made an adjustment because it was only on the top floor and staircase.

One for the books big Billy hasnt seen it. Did you have they ability to look at the backing?

I don't think that was directly caused by another cleaner.

Pattern is too perfect, look like something done in manufacturing.

Yep I used to leave tracks just like that. N-50's with Cragar super sports and 383 Hemi will leave tracks just about that wide. Do they drive their car upstairs? :twisted:

The thread title is misleading, there are no waves showing in these pix.

The "zig zag" pattern I see in mill defect carpets that get installed in cheap landlord apartments sometimes.
