Wax Pull-up with urine & mold

Wax Pull-Up 3 Seat Leather Sofa with fixed cushions.

Urine has penetrated the leather at the stitching & on the deck between the cushions.

What are my chances of neutralising the urine??

It is also showing signs of mold.

What would be your preferred method, & products to use??

This client lives half an hour away and all cushions are fixed to the frame.

My leather is near 20 year old, has never been pee'd upon, nor had alcohol spilled on it.

I don't waste alcohol, &, unlike some, can control my bowel motions.

Leather can not be flushed like soft surfaces. You also can not get access to the decking and cushion material. This is either a throw away or if it is a great frame, then it demands being reupholstered with new cushions, decking and leather along with treating the wood with an odor sealer. There are some style of sofas that look good with a fabric leather combination so if the damage is only in the seating then you could keep the leather on the sides, back and top while reupholstering the contaminated parts.

Tom, I will show my ignorance here but could one treat that cushion by allowing a modifier or enzyme to soak into the same seams, perhaps in several applications?

What's this with urine & Australia?
Lately, it seems like every post from Shorty and the Down-Unders involves urine and the occasional surface of choice.

Worried about you guys

Injecting bacteria through seams of furniture can work to some degree, but if it has absorbed the urine into raw wood or the leather itself, then it will not be enough. This is the reason for re-upholstering the contaminated areas as you can replace the cushions, the leather and use an odor sealer on contaminated wood. Most furniture is not worth this amount of work so replacement is the best option.

Thanks Tom, that's pretty much how I explained it to the client, but I just wanted confirmation for my benefit.
There's also a broken support beam underneath the sofa which is pushing against the dust cover.
I have suggested that when that is replaced, the underside of the seating be treated as much as possible with a urine neutralizer.

Ofer, thanks for your concern, we're just so pee'd off with all that is happening throughout the world today & we're trying to get a hold on a slippery surface.
