Hi all, haven't been here in a while, my apologies.
I did a job the other night at a customers home, had to restretch the living room and hallway so got started later than I wanted to. I have a porty and I cleaned with the 360i, tried to flush things really well but didnt really do dry passes with it after. When I did dry passes it didnt really seem to suck up very much after the fact like it was getting most of it to begin with on my initial pass.
Do you all do dry passes with your rotary or is there ever cases where you do not?
As a result of all of this it is probably the wettest I have ever left carpet. I finished up around midnight and then came back the next day to clean the couch. I was there a little after noon and things were pretty dry by then. I really have never had complaints about dry times. I want to know how people can have 3 day dry times. I feel like I pretty much tried to leave it soaking wet and it was still dry in 12 hours. Yes, I know this is not ideal.
Along this subject, I have two vacuums in parallel and lost one on another job. It was a blown fuse, I'm not sure what did it. Anyways, hooked up the shop vac and it got the job done. Got new fuses, actually a little larger than the ones that were in it (I put larger vac motors in a while back) and I also swapped my vac motor out for a new one. Just not something that is worth dicking with and wasting time on. I think I paid like $80 for my vac motor so its not worth ruining a $150 job on if it goes out. If I had problems and it went out most likely I wouldn't charge the customer because of the inconvenience.
Thank you all and I appreciate all of the help you have given to me and for @John Olson and everyone at superior for help along the way also. You have all helped me out so much. I am moving here in about a month and will be doing this full time. Gave work my notice and just waiting out the clock (also trying to find a place to live in Cedar, etc..) But I think things will work out well. If there is ever anything I can do to repay you all, let me know!
