Hi, I inheritted these large rugs. They have no stains and minimal signs of use.

Do you know what they are? And or how much they are worth?

Thank you, Nacho

Wow. Thank you Robert. You know rugs!

they are approx 10 feet by 16 feet at 160 square feet total.

Respectfully, do you think I can get $1500 each?

The size hurts their chances. I would be happy to get $500 and would settle for $200. These are not in fashion today. I sold scores of these in the 1980's and have one 2 x 3 on my desktop (my elbow is on one as I type). I have a 4X6 hanging on a wall in our master bathroom (been hanging for 20 years.)

I thought that Robert was being overly generous with the $10 per square foot... If you could find someone who would actually buy them you might be lucky to get the prices Tom suggested.

It's not that they weren't popular at the time, it's just that time has marched on for that style of rug. Who knows though, hang onto them long enough and they may come back into style.

Price is what someone is willing to pay. On Craigslist here, I see a lot of authentic Persian rugs go begging with people asking $2500 for an 8x10 then you see people selling a similar rug for $400. Sometimes you can't give them away, others just have to have it.

Asking and getting are two totally different things.

I'm sure he could find an interior designer scoping the web for those. Who cares what it's worth. Ask high$ dollars. $1500 is pocket change for the stupid rich people who are selling their crappy $1.5M house out west and buying $300k houses over here

There are some interior designers looking for clean wool rugs with a patina for certain clients but even there, they don't seem to be willing to pay much.

Here are some that the customer swears are authentic and worth thousands of dollars. To me they look like they are from Ikea.

Get those rugs cleaned and blocked to stretch out the wrinkles from being folded. They may look clean but I'm pretty sure there's a need. What part of Florida are you in?
