I'm curious what this group is actively implementing in order to either keep business as is, or make it better.

Many biz owners - no matter the industry - tend to have a long list of "should do's" but usually not a lot of action behind them.

It's interesting ... a few months ago I had someone complain about an internet report he was given with steps to implement to get his website searches at the top. His comment to me was "I've heard this before, anything new?"

Yet - when we went to his site and took a look he had not implemented any of it.

He knew it ... but knowing and doing are very different things.

And that's not an unusual situation I come across ... where because someone has heard it they don't see the value, but they've never tapped into the value. Package pricing is a great example, even today, I have members who do not do this when this is one of the top ways to increase your average sale and boost sales conversion.

They know it ... and somehow in their mind it takes away the push to DO it.

But when times change, and get uncertain, sometimes that's enough to wake up people and get them to take actual "real" ACTION.

What's your action right now? You are lucky that you are a business owner and have the freedom to create whatever bigger future you want to ... so how are you tapping into that opportunity you have?

I'm curious if one of the good things coming from the bad flying all around is actual action ... instead of just all the political pontifications (which are kinda fun, but not creating any value in the real world or your business).

Started with my wife going to a part time job so she could answer most of the incoming calls, we've also improved the quality of our yp and newspaper ads, our website is going to be up again shortly. For referrals, every customer gets three bus cards with the Free room offer on the back, and we let them know about the potential for a commission then. All in all I think its working pretty well and should really improve with time.

Well we have been poppin in to see the people that make this thing work, you know retaliers suppliers and old customers that like to spend.

With all the people dropping out of the yellow pages I revamped my ad and I think it be a killer. I went in and talked with them yesterday, I brought my hard ball and bat along with all my tracking results they will be giving me a 1/2 page ad in the tile and stone cleaning section for free along with full color and they will be tracking both ads for free. I go see the dex lady today.

Im just trying real hard to make it better for all that I deal with.

It's a secret.

Diversification. Spreading it out a little. Learning to let go a little. How can I grow if I do everything myself.

By doing this, I can focus on growing my business by being the guy who creates phone calls instead of not creating them as soon as I get too many.

Working on my image constantly and consistantly. Getting it out there and making people want me and my service.

I am building a new website, (should be up in a week or so) getting new graphics on my van, applied for a dba for my llc for a name more related to carpet cleaning, bought a rug badger package at connections and signed up for the 6 day rug course in dallas, ordered the leathermaster kit and got info on woodsolve sandless system, scheduled to complete my master certification in december with costas repair and reinstallation class, signed up for hp's sendout card program and signing up for servicemonster to more easily send ty cards and reminder cards, going to harv's millionaire mind 3 day course, bought a new mini turbo and cobra to better clean countertops and showers, joined another breakfast group to make new contacts, looking for a realtor group to join...and always looking for ways to better improve my image and the customers experience to make cheerleaders out of my customers. Staying a little busy these days!
