Anybody knows what cleaning method, Milliken specifies for cleaning their carpet tiles?
It uses the module adhesive 100-V (pressure sensitive).
Thanks

To answer your question.....
I - THINK - they have their own system which amounts to absorbent compound.

What I'm trying to figure out is will the use of hot water extraction or bonnet, void their warranty?

Do they specify that to maintain the warranty one needs only to use their or absorbent compound method?

The only info I found says they recommend their system, it doesn't say they require it though:

Milliken Recommended Carpet Maintenance Procedures
Carpet Cleaning
Regular cleaning of the carpet is required to remove ground in soil and soil that is bonded to
the fiber. To ensure the optimum performance and appearance retention, Milliken
recommends using the MilliCare Dry Carpet Cleaning system to maintain your carpet.
MilliCare is both CRI Seal of Approval and Green Seal Certified and MilliCare is an IICRC
Certified training provider. Service is available through a MilliCare Textile and Carpet Care®
specialist; the nearest service provider can be located at: www.millicare.com.

Their warranty states:

Additionally, these warranties do not cover damage arising from any
use that is different from the normal, intended use of carpet, including, but not limited to, (i) damage caused by
chlorinated or any other solvent-based cleaning agents;(ii) damage caused by exposure to substances or
contaminants which degrade or destroy color in carpet; (iii) damage caused by use of inappropriate maintenance
methods or unapproved maintenance service providers,

Shane, do you use absorbent compound system when cleaning their tiles?

We just encapped them with cimex/fiber pads.
I told them it was similar process.

Think i remember calling tech support too and they said periodic hwe was fine.
But the customers wanted low moisture so i didnt argue and booked the jobs.

Milliken wants you to use Capture, because they make Capture. They just can't require the use of Capture.

Our experience with Capture used by in-house cleaners has been that the carpet became a resoiling nightmare that can't be corrected with any amount of extraction cleaning. This may be due to overapplication or poor removal by the original users, but we've seen enough carpet replacement to consider Capture use a potential long-term problem. We haven't seen this as much in the past few years, so it may be that the product has been modified or Milliken isn't pushing it as hard as they have in the past.

Milliken makes a perfectly good carpet tile, so your concerns would be overwetting (bozo cleaning at 600 psi) and pre-existing lifting from a poor installation.

I've Washed Carpet tile on my wash floor with no adverse affects I do not not who made them though so just use your best judgement. I would, ask if there are any loose pieces/tiles around to test clean. The beauty of tiles is you can do you own repairs and replacements easily.

Hey there Ofer. I have used the Big Green and HWE cleaned glued down rubber backed carpet tiles. No issues and they even dried pretty fast.

You'll be fine. I have every confidence. If I can clean em' you will make em' new.

Thanks everybody.
I've cleaned carpeted tiles in the past and so far, touch carpet, they all turned out well.
You do hear some horror stories every once in a while here, and I knew that Milliken has their own requirements. Just did not want to create a warranty issue.

I'll bid it and see what happens.
Thanks again.
