View attachment 2724Wondering what spotters people keep on the truck and what tools in the tool box. Trying to be a little bit more organized so I bought a bag for spotters and tool box for truck. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Tool box has the "usual" stuff.
wrenches that fit all the fittings and QDs..and of course a "West Virginia socket set"
(that's a Cresent wrench to you guys south of Mason Dixon)

Chanel-locks, and vise grips , screw divers, hex wrenches (allen wrenches to the "unwashed")
Four-Way faucet wrench
Teflon tape , misc fittings and QDs
jets and strainers

spotters ..we don't carry a bunch in.
During walk thru on res, or set up on empties, you get a pretty good idea what spotters or specialty chems you'll need to bring in.

otherwise, 'bout the only spotter that comes in "all the time" is a bar of Fels

ABOUT THE same for us but we bring in a caddy with 2 solvents, rust remover, anti-foam, blocks, tabs, gum scrapper and condoms. Just kidding. We don't always bring in the blocks.

Larry has a good tool list,

but I would always have a 3/8" deep socket set and ratchet along.

(In Texas, we use the correct tools)

I would add some , valve repair kits & 1/4" hex nipples to the QC's.

You also need more than Fels for spotting.

Rust Remover, Dye Stain Remover, POG at least.

Pay attention, Cobby

"misc" fittings are in there

and the Fels is the only thing we bring in "for sure"
all the other stuff is in the van.
No need to carry in dye stain, pogs or rust remover if you don't need 'em
Walk thru on res or set up on empties will tell a "well formulated" operator what he needs to bring in.

no reason to carry chit in just to "look cool"

oh yea...napping shears in the box too

A knee kicker is a good tool. Im not a repair specialist but sometimes I need one. Pays for itself immediately.
