Carpet was filthy. Came out pretty good a week ago. Customer emailed me these photos today. Said she’s vacuumed from all directions and the stripes are still there.

I’d appreciate some advice. I have heard clogged jets can do this. Thoughts? D91E9D5F-8803-42EB-A30F-87A6BDA8F132.jpegBB919038-FEFB-498A-A458-A2852404E097.jpeg

Check the spray pattern on your wand make sure that there is a nice even fan all the way across. If there are two fans hitting each other they can create a turbulence that distorts the yarn. @Mikey P made a video about spray tip angles.

Ask her if she ever cleaned the carpet in the past. I just did an apartment last week that had those lines in it and I found out they used their magic chemical under the sink, causing color loss. I couldn't get those lines to go away

The lines from left to right are what I’m referring to on the color loss

How about floor boards beneath interfering with your results. Doesn't seem like your wand technique could be that consistent (unlike boards.)

BTW, looks pretty good considering.

It’s concrete slab underneath the carpet. The carpet was a little loose, needs to be stretched, could that have anything to do with it?

I had it set around 500 psi, which probably gave me around 400 at the wand.

I did not agitate with anything other than some serious scrubbing with the wand.

Ask her if she ever used a rug doctor from the supermarket and........used laundry detergent............that contains optical brightners.

A test using a black light would confirm it.

SHE caused it
