What is your follow up method for prospects

What do you do to keep in touch with a prospect who called, but did not book yet. I designed a series of about 10 autoresponder emails that I send out once per month, but I noticed by open drop drastically after month 3. Not sure if its the content, the medium or if the prospect is just no longer interested.

I am curious if a postcard with the same information would get better exposure or to hear of any other system being used, with success.
