What should my gross profit %% be ?

Right now we set it up for estimating at 60% but try and leave room for up-selling and beat the clock. Is this too low?

Kinda feel we could do better but play it safe, maybe too safe...

I would look up Mark Kennedy, he does an excellent job explaining a business model that will work now, and in the future.

I can appreciate that...

But in this situation am looking for feedback from live operators.

Depends on what u list in ur COS. If u have all ur service costs in about the line then i think 60% gp is excellent. Ours is closer to 50%.

What should i be looking at?

This is an internal number not tax return, we take out for future van/equipment replacement.
Remember with smaller numbers percentages can move around a lot more, which is why i am asking the question.

Labor, material averaged out, van, equipment
