What would you value this machine at?

A 2002 hydramaster maxx 470 with an auto pump out, a electric suction reel, a water softener and a hoses with wand. It has 650 hours on it supposedly and its really clean. I was going to buy it under the impression it was a 2007 model what do you think?

I would rather buy it if had more hours on it. I just feel that all that sitting is bad for it.

What size engine dose it have?

What's the asking price on that low hour MAX, Koos?
with 650 hours, it "should" look in very good condition when you pull up it's skirt to have a peek under the covers

I'd drop that offer by 8 grand. I bought a 2 year old ('05) 25K machine for 13,500 w/ tank and electric reels.

They had Dihatsu engines, I think 31 hp for the 470. Dist by Briggs and stratton. Inline, liquid cooled.

If we had that at our store we'd probably ask somewhere in the neighborhood of 14k

Although the Maxx is a good machine you have better choices out there with newer more user friendly designs.

Such as the Boxxer 421 or 427. Granted they are smaller machines but are plenty big for most companies.

Get a quote on a new Maxx. 31 hp with 47 blower. They have alot of heat. Much more durability than a 2 cyl. alumuin head water cool eng Boxxer. Maxx eng. is cast and total water cooled. Also much harder to work on but not much goes wrong with them.

Even though it has only 650 hrs 18k is alot for a 6 yr old machine. I would offer 12k at the most if it was in great shape. It does sound a little wierd that it only had 100 hrs per year put on it. Definitely fire it up and run it for a little will if you can.
