of carpet to classify as small, medium and large commercial cleaning jobs?

For example; (just throwing #'s out there)
Small: anything under 2500 sq ft
Medium: 2501 to 5000
Large: 5001 plus

I'm sure this is relative to how many employees you have if any, which I don't at this time. I am looking to pick up a used Cimex or OP in addition to my single wand truckmount, but want to start slow and target small professional offices and businesses. Just looking for some guidelines.
Thanks!

I would start with small being 1000 sq ft.
1000 - 2500 Medium
2500 -5000 large
I guess you are looking for pricing guidelines. If so other factors need to be considered.

This probably won't help but it's hard to just price based on sq ft. It is a starting point but there are lots of variables. Two jobs both a 1000 sq ft , one could take an hour and the other could take two. I price based on how long I think it will take. ive only screwed myself a couple times in 25 years.

I just deleted a post that would get me banned...

I just charge .25/foot up to 3000, then .20 above. However, I also charge a travel fee over 50 miles. Just make a price and see how it works out, given your area, soiling, so forth. Bear in mind that your job is to stay solvent and change people's work space for the better. Do NOT race the other Big Hose companies to the bottom.
