Used to be a resort....

He lived in the house with the German Shepard attack dog and small Lapso ...She live in a trailer house on the property....

Terrible situation...he would put something of hers on the dump trailer and take something of his back in the house...She would toss something of his...take back something of hers...

Found the missing cat...been missing 5 years (ps....dead)

Absolute miserable job...difficult to collect payment in the end...

Worst moment for me...When he would announce..... in his German Voice..."Ok Everybody...I am letting the dog out now"!

The doors would slam....everyone in the crew Hiding.....

AND I WAS OUTSIDE IN THE TRAILER GETTING SOMETHING!

I slammed the side door shut for safety....NOPE!!!

The Guys had left the back door down!!!!

Holy Sh**T!

I grabbed the 45 gallon plastic ACE Hardware Trash can to keep between me and the Salivating Psycho German Shepard (I Still have the Trash Can by the way all torn up!)

Hans Grabs the dog and puts them both in one of his abandoned 4 Volkswagen Rabbits on the property...

They Proceeded to tear the upholstery to shreds....I was in the state of "I'm Gonna Die!"

Another time went to collect....the van got stuck in the drive...a whole entire new story of waiting for the wrecker for 1.5 hours away...my wife waiting in the van and thinking I had been chopped up and put in the freezer...

This place was a nightmare...and every time we pass his place and see him I get my brother on the phone and yell...

AHHhhhhhh.....HANS!!!!!

(I hated my brother Dave for getting me into that job!)

Driving a rearwheel drive minivan through Mckeesport Pennsylvania in January is about as close to death in this industry that I've gotten.

Not cleaning carpet, but I used to install above ground pools. I never knew how some people could afford the pools. We went into Long Beach to do a pool and wandered into Compton for lunch. Pulled up to a burger joint and everything was covered in graffiti. Two kids about 10 years old saw us and picked up the payphone while looking at us. We got back in the truck and they hung up the phone and never took their eyes off us white boys. We skipped lunch that day.

The day the Rodney King riots broke out we were installing a pool at a Convent by Florence and Normandie. We cut it short that day.
