I am thinking of trying some post cards and getting away from flyers.

Can someone that has done post cards share their ROI for this time of year?

Lot's of variables to make a rate of return comparison of much value to you.

Copy, headline, stock photo, previous clients or cold mailing, sequential mailing, oversize or regular cards, call to action, the offer........ etc........etc...........

The main thing is, that this is about the last chance to mail for the upcoming holidays.

Now get busy and do something!!!!!!!

i Mailed out 3000 pieces to select area by my home and didnt even get 1 to 1. They were not current clients just to a specific targeted area. I doubt I will do that again!

Cold mailing is risky. It's like shooting for game with a shotgun blindfolded.

Doesn't mean all mailing is bad.

Never Said that!

Thats why I defined the mailing. I sure If I have been in biz for 5 plus years I would have a good client base to mail to DAVE.

Thanks for the info.

I get between 3 and 6 to 1 roi on flyers and it costs about half of what postcards would.

"I would never do that again" And that is why it will fail. Any marketing venture you do must have repetition. Have any of you looked into newspaper inserts? I did those this year and they actually worked well. I printed up 50,000 full page glossy flyers and had 5,000 put in the newspaper twice a month. it was a consistent 4-1 return the whole 5 months I did it. The calls increased every month also because they kept getting plastered with "Its time to clean your carpets"

It is very difficult to get a good return mailing them out at random, but it is a must mailing reminders to your current customers.. I do mail postcards to all houses around one I have just cleaned. This works well also, because someone for sure heard my loud machine
