When cleaning tile and grout, do you scrub it first with a buffer?

This is the kitchen of a memory care place and there was a lot food stuck to the floor. My blueline thermal wave goes up to 3,000 psi but this place really needed to be scrubbed with my buffer first after I presprayed it

Jeffrey, pre-scrubbing does help but as Marty said, a rotary brush may not get into the grout lines. I have a blue brush that scours pretty well, but it always needs detailing. Find a good cleaner such as Venom Viper, or even Flex with citrasolve (Interlink products) and your life will get easier. Where you use pressure, I use superheated steam. It is slower, but fits my style.. Good luck! "Always, Excellence."

Scott, Thanks. I first stripped wax off of it (!@#¥!!)
Then used superheated steam to boil the lines. The whiteness comes from using a diluted acid wash. Here is a similar floor being degreased and vac'ed with steam:

I think there are some brushes with longer bristles staggered in for reaching deeper into grout lines.

Maybe the one Mikey used to recommend.
