Does it have to be done at a parker store? The one near me closed last year and I have 2 lengths that need to be cut off and recrimped.

Didn't know if the parker hose took a special end.

For Parker 1035HT hose, it doesn't use a "special" fitting, but it is somewhat specific. If you are swaging a 1/4" male pipe thread, and want to use original Parker fitting, then use a part no. 10155-4-4 (55 series, 1/4" male pipe). However, other brands of fittings will work fairly well also.

Most hose places will carry what you need, as well as many decently stocked TM distributors.

Or you could get a brass fitting and a couple hose clamps from Lowe's.

Don't get all Dr. Professional on me. Works fine.

In the early days, I used to do that with my bane hose. But since the parker hose is different and I use more pressure and heat now, I am kind of leary of doing it.

anywhere that makes up custom hydrolic hoses should be able to help, Vin.
That's where I got mine done in the olden days before I started doing my own.

tractor/farm implement service/repair shops will likely be able to help...or at least point you in the direction of someone who can.

Nowhere nearby to buy or get Parker crimped so I made "temporary" fixes that have lasted for years at 240/500+, and 1500+ for tile. (I alternate 100' lead sections.)

That Parker is tuff stuff. Doesn't seem to wear in the middle, only gets pinholes at the machine end. When pinholes appear, trim off 12-18 inches, insert brass fitting, double hose clamp. Retighten clamps first few uses.

Of course, I would prefer a crimp if I had a local shop to do it. Reckon I could get a new section or two, but my reel is full and the current ones seem fine.

a cleaner, better (IMO) way is to use PEX crimp rings and crimper.
the 3/8 size rings are the ones you need .
you can buy them and the crimp tool at Lowes or HD in the plumbing section

1/4" hose barb (must be pounded in with rubber mallet) and PEX crimp clamps

Use at YOUR OWN RISK.
but IMO, it's better than steel hose clamps

I've been running temps 240+ for 4 years now with Parflex and have yet to have a failure. Maybe Joe and Greenie are doing the crimps right. Although I do replace my hose every year or two. Only out of ugliness.

had my hose spring a leak a few weeks ago, about 2yrs old hose. It bulged just past the spring bend restrictor. Just took it to the local hose supplier and they fixed it in 5min. A few bucks and I'm on my way.
