I lost a set of my pickup keys 2 months ago that had mailbox cabin house trailer, you name it and I finally gave up looking for it yesterday and ordered two new fobs and all the keys......
and of course today I found it buried inside the motor mount of my ATV..

My wife drove the key over to us when I realized we didn’t have it
She drove the Cayenne , so the key arrived 7 minutes BEFORE I made the call

Startac was Motorola.. Came in black with silver lettering saying Motorola for $800.. Gold lettering was a $400 add on.. back in like 1992.. I was 8yo..

Get this. When I was a kid in the early 80's maybe late 70's my dad had a car phone. It was an operator assist phone. you would need to say "over" after every sentence so the operator could switch the conversation to the other person. It was simplex radio communication. I remember going Trick or Treating with my dad in Santa Cruz and the horn on his VW Rabbit started honking and the head light flashed. That's how he knew he was getting a phone call. As a little kid, I thought that was the coolest thing ever.
Then cell phones came along and the operator assisted radio phones were out. Thank God.

I recall being at the beach circa 1993 with a bag phone , standing on the roof of my work van trying to get a signal to connect with the office

I know what dial up is.. The closest thing to making my kid experience the struggle is blocking the iPad on the wireless router.. All hell breaks loose! You’d think her dog died!
