First thing you think of, is:

First thing you do, is:

You invested a lot of effort.... A lot of time to educate yourself..... A lot of money to buy the latest and greatest equipment and tools to achieve the results that now someone claims their own. And they work with a cheap junk low quality, out of the trunk type setup and may not own anything close to what you do...

So what do you do?

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.

They just point and laugh at me...

It's happened to me.

He cropped the copyright info off the picture and used it

I sent a cease and desist . He took it down.

I
now use a watermark.
It's a little time consuming as it is my logo across the entire picture
And I set the transparency where you can only see if you look for it.

If your photo is copyrighted, it is covered under the Digital Millennium Copyright act. If you report the infringement to their ISP (so-called DMCA take-down notice) they will likely remove it from the website, I believe.

You can add semi-transparent text to the image using graphic editing software.
You can also embed a digital watermark that enables you to track when a picture is used somewhere else, but I believe this requires an annual subscription with a company like Digimarc:

The Doctor is a prick...... but the treatments are working really well. So much for nerve transplants and surgery that isn't needed. It's a shame that the traditional Chinese medicine can't be folded in with western methods, but it isn't to be. This is the third time for acupuncture for me and every time it's a roaring success.

You can post on their face book page that you did that work and if that is the result they want they should call you. if they could do that they would have.
