I've been using a couple Kirby Sentras cuz they work great, don't break down, and my assistant likes them better than the Orek XL. They function fine, but are starting to grunge out with scratches, corrosion, dirty bags, etc. I could polish them up and wash the bags but would rather clean carpet. There is currently no Kirby on Craigslist that looks any better than mine. Thinking about buying another Sanitaire classic because Kirby and Sanitaire have, by far, the best performance on carpet due to their direct motors.

Which vacuums work best for you?

Why do you like Shark? I've used my daughter's at her house. Seems to work well, but don't think it would hold up in the van.

Mike: Why don't you like Sanitaire anymore? Hasn't the belt issue been corrected on newer models?

I can see where a Shark wouldn’t hold up well in the average cleaners vans, but realistically no vacuum will hold up under those conditions. My son is almost as bad as most of you idiots in the way he abuses his tools and the Sharks hold up for him,

you goobs are overthinking, pack following de jour mow-rons

damn near all vacs vac fine when clean and maintained ...meaning free flowing.
and if you actually use them in homes or empties with pets, they STINK and need to be disassembled and washed.
and if you have a cloth/fabric type outer bag, they're a damn bio hazard after awhile

you can lead a horse to water, but they're still stoopit

pee-azz

if you use a sanitare, Kirby or Oryx to vac a house, then have to use a $30K TM to vac corners/edges and door jambs, you're a real nincompoop

I Had a cheap BiSseL blow up on me in the middle of a job many years ago when someone on the board (Lar?) thought they were cool. How many of those ten should I carry as backups?

I've killed more Sharks than Bissells

we carried two.
One for chitholes or pets lovers
one for nice digs

Belt issues.

I would consider getting a bagged version

Windsor Sensor 12/Sebo Bags are $1.50-$2.00/bag Lays flat to get under beds and such..

ProTeam XP1500 Bags are $.50-$.70 per bag Not as good as the Windsor but doesn't have that adjusting wheel that's expensive to fix when it breaks..

I don't like the bagless as its just messy.. I'm not trying to crate dust clouds..

If it's a sh!t hole/pet issue, I use the TurboCat.. The turbine vacuum that you hook to the TM on idle..

When you CRB even after you vacuum, you dig out tons of crap.. Any vacuum without a built in wand is just trash..
