Cleaned this carpet at one of my accounts with Code Red and rinsed with Saiger rinse. Carpet is olefin cgd. White haze appeared after it dried. I sprayed lightly using an acid rinse(Prochem all fiber rinse) went over with a cotton bonnet and my oreck xl orbital. Went back again next day and still have white haze on some areas not as oblivious as originally. What else can I do to fix this. There are 10 other stores with the same carpet and this didn’t happen to those carpets. Only at this one store.

That is gonna suck to get out unfortunately if they used a lot of the powdered carpet fresh type product

It's going to take a lot... A lot and a lot more vaccuming... And in different directions.

We had one so bad once, we were rotating four Canister vaccums while one person was outside with an air compressor cleaning the vaccums.

After you get out all you can, Saiger's Deep Blue All Purpose - All Fiber Rinse flowing heavy to try and knock it down..

Sorry you are running into this. Not a fun situation

you're all idiots

rent a Cert pile brush to rip it off the fiber to the base
Follow up with a good upright vac
mist some enCrapoo and give it a quick rotary bonnet

cash the check

you're in the right job NOW cleaning toilets and flirting with gehy chics

if a CRB was heavier, that would work pretty quick too.
The Cert pile brush can get more weight on the brush though by lifting the wheels off the carpet

The only time I've had a white haze issue is when I've used the cheap Harvard oxy powder as a booster in my pre-spray. Never permenant, and it has always vacuumed right up.

Not saying it's the same issue. Just saying there must be a reason Booster Powder costs $20 a tub and Boost All costs $60 a tub.

I love Saiger Sauce and use it every day, but I always pay up for the premium oxy booster.

CRB? Man you were off with the pile life, you're in left field with a CRB. lol

Vacuum it well, flush the shit out. Don't let some gun nut tell ya wrong! 😁

I havent read the comments but this white haze happens when people use carpet fresh or Arm and Hammer potpourri crap on their carpet. It’s not your fault.

You can rinse until you’re blue in the face. The customer damaged it. Encap and run.
That's a temp fix. They will call you back and the last one that you touches it, gets the blame. IF you could have foreseen the problem at inspection, then it's easy to explain. However after you've cleaned it, that same explanation sounds more like an excuse.

when you're done soaking that carpet and wasting money on rinse chems (that won't do a thing to prevent that powder from wicking back up again)

you can stop over thinking it, and go back for the THIRD re-do with a pile brush and vac to get the DRIED powder that's stuck on the fiber ..off

CC'ing 101....remove DRY soil with a dry vac

you can flush that thing til next Wednesday, and if more than a little powdered CRAP was dumped, you'll not flush all that powder out of the backing
You'll be "pressure washing" it further into/thru/below the backing

If you feel compelled to try and flush it out, I wouldn't use big pressure and spinners .
I'd use an unglided wand and chop-stroke the chit out of it heavy, hard and fast.
Don't use any pre-spray ...or you might end up with a "cleaner" spot than the rest of the carpet

or make rocket surgery out of it with spinning drag wands and wOndeR jOOses ....

Actually @sOOper hero does make a point of maybe don't even rinse it again.

Try to just vaccum it out and see how it turns out.

I have done that also since I tell the clients, well you put it in and it says to just vaccum it out... So.....

@Nomad74 also does have a point. You have already cleaned with HWE....

I only rinse some of them again if the clients are feeling a bit prickly about it and think it needs rinsing again....and again... And....

It could be from an encap type product. I cleaned a place that sells woman's wigs and nail products. Next day he called with areas of white powder. I went over it with my pile lifter for about an hour before I got it all out. It was an area that was real dark when I started.

The pile lifter has a vacuum the crb doesn't so it won't pick it up as well I would think.

And to the toilet cleaner the pile lifter is made for glue down commercial lol.

A good vac like the oreck would probably work too. Just need to be patient either way.

as most experienced vets like you know, that powdered CRAP sticks to the fiber pretty tenaciously when wicked and dried on...it's the roll bush on the vac that shears/removes it .
The more weight (and bristles) on the roll brush, the faster it comes off

only caution is that the operator has enough sense not to linger too long and heat/distort the pile with aggressive brush on heavy pile lifter

We owned a dozen pile lifters. Hild, Certified, Chemspec, nice for SHAG rugs in the 70's but didn't do dik with commercial.

Ohh they looked good and sounded powerful BUT they were ineffective, inefficient outdated machines...much like Pooper Hero. 😉

They were at their best removing sand and grit from door entryways when a vacuum couldn't did that deep. IF it could would well enough on CGD the recovery system is a joke and it would redistribute the power throughout the airspace because its wasn't designed to capture particulate that fine.

Everyone can come up with Theory, having experience attempting these things is called reality. Today's vacuums work far better and will recover the powder better. Leave Larry to vacuuming his shag with his pile lifter. 😁

they're junk for vacuuming
POS Dirt Devil is better

for shearing that powder residue off, they'll kick azz
regular upright vac to finish off

but if you'd rather soak it again, by all means, head down there to TX and show Josh how it's done ......

Haha so the pile lifter is only good for what a vac can't get out.

Pile lifters are sweepers not vacs. They clean only when you pull them backwards. They white stuff will float around but it won't be in a pile on the floor anymore.

I have had this same issue and am speaking on my experience. It wasn't some powder dumped it was large dark oily looking areas that turned to powder. You need a stiff brush to dig it out.

I had recleaned mine and it was better but still there. The store owner and myself tried several vacs that barely touched it.

Thinking about getting a new pile lifter. Tossed my old one when I got the crb.
