Most all sealers are hydrophobic to a greater or lesser extent. Bactibarrier is a hydrophobic sealer but mainly intended to protect surfaces against bacteria and mold. Many concrete and grout sealers have hydrophobic properties mostly due to the flouropolymers present.

The rest is percent of active ingredients and marketing.

That may have some truth, the sealers I'm looking are supposed to last for a long time.

Just as Green Guard is based on Nanotechnology and last a cleaning or 2, it's not a semi-permant Nanoprotecter like Microseal or 547.

Need an expert in Stone and glass protector to explain

Love me my 547! (but not keen on that name or the orange circle/label).

Would be cool to get into something similar for tile and grout. Keep me posted as to what you find out.

That's a crazy buy in fee. No thanks.
