Why Am I Getting Vacuum.....

Why Am I Getting Vacuum at the end of my waste hose (when the APO is off), when the pickup hose is under water in the waste tank?? I had the end of the waste hose in a toilet today to dump, and it vacuumed out the water in the trap. There are no leaks in the hose, and the backflow valve is about a year old. Will that strong Genesis vacuum still draw vacuum through the waste hose even though it is buried under water in the waste tank??

I'm gonna clean out the backflow valve tomorrow, but this is confusing...

Clean or replace checkvalve.

Replace the check valve.....hmmmmmm....does anyone make a check valve that ain't brass on brass? Something that will seal better against the vac??

I'll be trying out the 12 volt APO this weekend.......Doug uses one and he says they work great.
