I want to HWE and vapor steam this wood floor. Using the Hydroforce tool with the brush.

Pressure 3-400 psi and go low moisture HWE. I got some Squeaky product (looks) Like windex. I run the HWE and another guy Vapor steams and Microfiber Follow Up Immediate.

Work it in 10 X 8 squares.

What do you think. long time customer moving in to place after a rental trashed it. I took care of the carpets today, the place was dirty.

IMO. It will not look any different after it is cleaned, whatever the method. It will need the proper finish applied after cleaning. Maybe some buffing before and after. I wouldn’t do it.

Yes, im just talking getting the grime out of the seams. I have a day off tomorrow and I texted the owner and they are glad to let me give it a go. its a perfect opportunity with no pressure. the place was pretty nasty. I will get before and after pics.

I got vapor steamers that kick ass. I vaped cleaner floors just because they wanted me too. Its all about quick dry follow up with microfiber. Hopefully I will have some incredible results. 9 hrs away....

or a pissed off homeowner. Nah, they are good.

👍. One thing for sure. If you clean it it will be cleaner.
see what happens. Definitely can't ruin anything. My air conditioner went last night. we are in a heat wave, maybe 100 tomorrow. 80 degrees in the house. Unit may be toast. 10-15 K to replace but won't be able to get anyone here. everyone too busy. Got my pop coming over to see if its fixable. he knows that stuff, and anything with electric. this kinda sucks.

The thing about hardwood floors is, the stupid homeowner forgets all the shit they've put on it over the years. They don't know the difference between Bona floor finish (acrylic mopNglow), and normal hardwood floor cleaner, because it's in the same type of bottle.

So when you start to clean the floor with the intention to get just the grime out...all of a sudden that entire floor clouds up, showing wax from the FKIN bona crap. Now you're screwed, because you just planned to do a normal cleaning. Now you have to strip it. That's why I dropped that service

You’ll need to find out a few things before attempting to strip the floor.

* Is the floor safe to strip? (Laminates such as Pergo should not be stripped in general.)
* Are there any raw wood areas that may darken if it gets wet?
* Are there any gaps in between the planks that will let the stripper and rinse water underneath?
* Is there any preexisting water damage that can get worse or be blamed on you?
* Are there MDF baseboards that will swell if exposed to the stripping process?
* Why was the topical coating applied in the first place?
* Were they trying to make a dull floor shiny or trying to hide scratches?
* Will they be happy with the finished product?
* What type of topical was applied?
* Will the topical respond to a typical VCT floor stripper?
* Can the flooring withstand the scrubbing that may be needed to loosen the topical?
* Will the coating need to be reapplied?
* How will you deal with furniture moving?

After

So as long as I don't get a call that the floor is popping off the subfloor, It was a success.

Before I cleaned it, it was sticky when walking on it, now it is clean and can feel the difference more than see it.

That job would have been finished in 10 minutes with an OP. Exact same results with zero risk of water intrusion. Unpaid opinion.
Thanks for the feedback. This was just good timing for me to hook up a great customer so it was clean for moving in. pics didn't show how nasty it was. If I got into the wood cleaning I will definitely look into the OP.
