In the past, I have always used 3M's Scotchgard wool protector. I have to spray a new install in two weeks. Is there a better alternative? The main problem is going to be cat vomit, the homeowner has three cats, she is a high-end designer and this is her home. Any and all recommendations are appreciated. Thank you for your responses.

Try a solvent-based fluorochemical with tested repellency . . .

Larry, she is worried about her cats. How strong is your spray? (As far as odors) How good will it work on the acid vomit? (Cats only have a cat sitter twice a week so they spend most of their time alone with no one to clean up) And what is the rate of spray.

Application rate is 1000 sq. ft. per gallon of Ultraseal.
As with any fluorochemical, keep animals out of the rooms you are spraying in.
