Ran out of room to dry flat so we had to hang dry these buggers.

Any chance they will lay flat when dry?
Dusty suggest "HWEing" the backs with my V and laying 2 by 4's over the edges.

Those are not wool on wool, that's a cotton foundation. The curling there is due to too much tensioning on the loom. Dusty's solution may work for those.

Yep cotton for sure and then edging may have been too tight also causing the curl. The fun and challenges of handmade products, welcome to the rug cleaning business Mikey. After cleaning a few 10's of thousands you'll be more comfortable :-)

This happens often. Once dry, after you've rolled the rug up it will lay out great when rolled back out. There is a difference between this soft roll and the tighter roll of too much side tension. In that case you'll barely be able to hand straighten the curl and there will often be wear to indicate it has been that way for some time. It takes a skilled repair person to fix, and can not be fixed by sewing vinyl straps on the back.

PS: Only a small percentage of rugs will be harmed by hanging.

PPS: Wool foundation can be almost any color but pure white. Typically they'll be a natural wool color, whether cream, brown, black or gray.
