I've been a board addict for a long time.
i can recall when the RX-20 was king (still the "gold standard" too rugged dependability and reliable results )
Then the Hydromaster Drymaster came out.
It quickly became a board de jour fave..(most agree by now it wasn't "all that", right?)

up until the Hoss make it's debut , the rOtoVac 360i had enjoyed top board de jour billing ..ALL due to Mike's constant fawning over the piece for months (you'd think he was having sex with the damn thing)
...and of coarse, all the "be like Mike's" had to have one and a board de jour star was spawned

soon some chinks in the 360i armor started showing ....streaking some carpet, bogged/under powered motors ..cooked motors , etc

then the Hoss popped on the scene challenging for the top de jour spot
It seems to occupy a slight edge on the de jour slot...though not a "commanding" one

Enter the new Trex from Mytee

will there be a clear de jour favorite a year from now?
or will it take Mike publicly making love to one of them to top the list??

This may be a bit anti-climactic, but - will there be a happy ending between Mikey and one of his suck toys? Will Mikey take one as his wife or will he start a reality series, based on a monogamous relationship? Or will the polygamous sluttery continue?
Couldn't get rid of my original Roto Rooter Vac fast enough after saturating a few carpets. Even downsized the jets, but 24 hour drys suck ass(ets). My trusty Aw29 just earned me 450 in 3 hours this afternoon. Works for me.

I dont think any of the units are perfect for everybody. All of us can find fault in anyone of them.
but i think the "battle" will be between Mytee and Hoss and if people are honest it will be a close one
there are good reasons to buy either. I gave mine why i would buy Mytee and get scorned by our fearless leader. Maybe i,ll get a powerflite scrub wand and say sorry sir

And the next time i want my opinion i,ll ask Mikey

We should get a Día de los Muertos doll of Mike...being tooled by all the various suppliers he has championed over the years!

How do you figure George?

a Zipper is just two wand strokes.

Same flow as my Ti wand
No twirling jets, no agitation.

Just one less pass

big f'n woop.

or did Eric tell you that little tiny home depot mexicans are under that head scrubbing for peanuts?

But I'm not an ahole with a small sausage. And I couldn't justify $1000 an hour.

yeah yeah, but we left our driveway at 9 am and didn't get home ti'll 4:40 so I don't feel too bad about the high price.

Since 2007 they have spent $30,300 with us on that rug cleaning and repairing it.

In my opinion they should and could just buy a new synthetic remnant/rug every six months and donate the old one to the homeless camp in the park below.

My 360i blows away my Greenhorn by a mile, using anyone of these rotary extractors separates us from the competition & keeps the phone ringing.

I am 46 & had Discectomy on my lower back 13 years ago so the weight of these tools is a factor for me.

What you will find....( and knowing you ..you probably already know this..)....a lot of times it has nothing to do with the tool...its more who pissed off who and just because they don't like some one..they will give 2 thumbs up on something even if it is a P.O.S.....just to get back at at someones competitor....nature of the beast in most cases....

then there is a small hand full of us that could give a rats butt who someone is....who made what...or who pissed in who's Cheerios......and aren't afraid to just tell it like it is......very easy to pick out a biased tester........

as far as the next best thing out there.....it is really going to take some doing to top the Hoss......
so IMO...rotaries at at there peak.....Wands need to stay at the basics...just do a little personal pimping and call it good....there is a lot of worthless crap coming out as far as wands are concerned.....I think most machines are at there peak....lost of flavors to choose from.....

personally I think it is past time for someone to work on the little crap that gets us......

remember the good old days when sticky taps were perforated all the way thru and they actually stuck to what you put them on....wand valves did not leak as easy......cuffs actually swiveled when you wanted them to and did not fly apart when you don't want them to.........we have spent so much time making things bigger and badder that we have neglected all the other things.........and for god sake..stop cutting corners..and making things out of cheap plastic....we are not sitting on our butts in air conditioned offices.....like the people who are thinking this crap up....we have to work this this stuff....your only shooting yourselves in the foot....

And an even smaller handful that don't even have a clue who's butt-hurt by who, over who know's what, and don't care.

How bout the most over priced, under needed award, for sticky tabs? I believe my math worked out to be 5 times the cost of 4 x 4 white tabs, though I haven't seen them priced in a while.

Being a user of Sticky Tabs everyday and the time they save me, I would never be without them again. I hardly use my other tabs, and very few styro blocks. And tabbing the back corner legs of items against the wall...no way am I doing that with regular tabs again. Just to valuable of a time saver for us to worry about the per tab price...in other words....Priceless.

Listen to Section 8 Suzy complain about Rotary extractors...

Wtf do you want to discuss? Which paint brush or toilet o- ring holds up best in a crack whores house?

ANy rotary extracor is better than a wand. I have rx20 and the 360i and he I'll nEVEr have to look for work

"regular" use of them is kinna $tupid imo

But they're great for situations like an odd center rear leg on a sofa or when otherwise PITA tabbing situations come up.
Well worth keeping a roll or two on the van for those occasions

naw'mean?

nah, we're cool there ..Wooster brushes are the best
new subfloor and flange pays best .
and since CoonOr turned me on to the little inside cut saw, we make lots more cutting and replacing flange when subfloor doesn't need replaced ...way more profit there as opposed to the band-aid split flanges we used to use :winky:

bEd bUgs are a MUCH bigger concern than the mundane chit.. ......PRICK
