Doing a local motorcycle shop this afternoon, just so happened a SS tech was in there. He came over to talk to me. Told me he had been there for like 16 years and knew everything about there operation, he loved it, made so much money, etc. Then he started looking over my set up.

Hydroforce- "Whats this, this is what you use to pretreat carpet? We don't have to use one cause our machine gets so hot we don't need to pretreat. We use steam."

360i - That's different, never seen anything like it. Can I try it? He was a nice kid, so I turned the speed down low and put it in the middle of the room. We all had a pretty good laugh when it nearly threw him over the handle bars. I had to grab it before he put it through the wall.
"I think it pulls a little to the right, we don't have to use this because we clean with steam."

Dry Strokes- "We don't have to dry stroke because our machine is so powerful we just don't have to, our carpets are usually dry in 2 hours."

Water: "We use about the same amount of water as it takes to do a load of laundry in a 5 room house. Our machine is so powerful we vacuum up 90% of the water we put down."

He was a nice guy, I felt so sorry for him and the fact that after 16 YEARS in this business pretty much all he knew was the BS he was fed. I feel even sorrier for their customers.

I’ve gone into supply house to see salesmen pushing 9 products to a clueless dude,

And knowing they have no clue about how carpet cleaning really works.

I mean a few good tips could be the difference between failure and success.
