Spent 3 days trying to attend seminars & look at all the new equipment at the show.
Seminars were very good, at the ones I was able to attend.
The Keynote speaker was Brian Tracy on Increasing Sales.
He talked about raising Company Quality to get to the top 10% of your industry.
He emphasized employees that want to achieve that goal,
versus those that always have reasons that keep them from reaching the goal.
He stressed spending the time required to track sales results from all marketing tools.
He talked about the importance of QUICKLY taking action for moving your company forward.
His goal was 2% per month of sales increase (over 25% in a year).
His system for achieving this was fairly straightforward:
1. Listing of every daily activity for each person involved in sales.
2. Determining the relative importance of each item on the list,
rating the #1, #2 and #3 items.
3. Devoting ALL of your time to only those 3 high sales items,
and finishing each of those before taking any break.
By doing this, you eliminate the time wasters like constantly checking email or other internet browsing.
A good seminar on teaching employees to achieve more.

More on the equipment and many cleaners I met later.
