this old mosaic floor in Gadsden Alabama was buried under wax, glue and plenty of dirt. It was a JOY to clean it, but it wore the elves out!

Thank you. The before picture has morning light streaming in, the after was about 6pm. I really underestimated what it would take to get it done and truthfully, I'd haave liked to spend a few more hours on it.

Yeah. The top one. The increased light makes it look pretty good, but it was filthy. The bottom shot was interior light only, late afternoon.

In time past there had been a glued rubber edge for carpeting on either side. If you look closely, you can see that the tile has a new dark border in the "after" picture. Here is a close up of the glue crusted edge and a sample of the soiling:
