"3rd Party" Google phone calls - necessary for Places / Maps / Local or junk?

are you selling anything, "yes we are trying to get you listed on Maps."

good move or do they legitimately represent Google?

From what I know, just a marketing company trying to get $.
Nothing to do with the Goog.

i get 3-6 calls a day for months now for that, not sure if its 1 company or a bunch of them but they call everyday and even as late as 9-10 at night always from different numbers so u cant just block them. I just hang up on them. they can waste their time i wont let them waste mine.
