customer has high end carpet. Installer goofed up seam bad. The store is giving them the run around about dealing with the install. What is her next step? She thinks it is Shaw carpet. Should she contact the manufacturer directly? Should she hire her own inspector?
I can feel where the seam is overlapped giving it this appearance:

Carpet is year and a half old.

Shaw will probably send her an inspector. But that is obviously not a manufacturing defect. It is an installation issue.

If the retail store provided the installer, then it should be their responsibility to get it fixed. The store can deal with the installer. They should take care of their customer.

If the homeowner hired their own installer directly, then the store is out of the loop. Home owner should deal with the installer. But likely any warranty, if there was one, does not extend to a year and a half.

Lowes installers warranty is only good for 1 year. But I would agree with most everyone else..issue is with the installer.
