Military base wants their court clean and shiny again.

70x70 room that has to last another year.

They want me to clean and apply a coat or two of finish

Neutral cleaner and a Blue 3M pad is what CMS Ray suggests..

Anyone want to contradict him?

A white hogshair or white rubberized polishing pad. Red is good too. Awesome is awesome, Flex as well. The grabbiness of the polishing pad will snatch those marks right off.

If you have four balls, walk with pride.

Having been a janitor in my past I say use the buffer and a pad. In my training as a ninja warrior I took that job to teach me how people should treat others and to learn and become humble, to feed my family. But I did start my "Dead Pool" list way back then for all of those condescending assholes I still want to kill. : )

That's what I used to do buffing at night. A combination of this and the Nike shuffle for anything that's left as you so over it.

I tested it today with NpH and a Red Pad ( all I had)

And most everything came off, including just a bit of the shine.

I think a Blue will do great.
I've never dealt with a room this big 65x56/3640 so what's your guess on how much finish and how many pads will I need?

And will one coat of a high solids wax be enough?

2nd coat at right angle to the 1st.

I use 3M 3300 pads with a 1600 rpm buffer. Will take most scuffs off, but better with a spray bottle of choice of cleaner.

If it's large area or too badly scuffed just mop an area and buff as it dries
