Does it while cleaning...

Anybody know why?

This is the 421, not 427.

Dumping water into the recovery tank while cleaning.

Anyone?

It could be from a number of causes.

From a stuck solenoide valve to a bad temp controller.

First check to see if the solenoide is stuck. make sure the machine is relatively cold, and the t-stat is turned to max. Disconnect the power to the valve and check two things.
1) does flow through the valve stop?
2) is their power(12 volts) at the wires?

If there is constant flow, with it disconnected, the problem is with the valve. If there is power- on a cold machine with the t-stat turned up, you have an electrical issue to be traced.

It would also be helpful to know whether the unit is diverting (exhaust) while dumping.

Dude with a Reactor had the same problem.

not really.

I betcha the solenoid is stuck, debris in the needle, or just failed solenoid.

never buy a machine you can't fix yourself!!!

i've seen B&S'ers with harder machines than that to fix!!!

remember carpet cleaning should be run by the K I S S business plan!!!

Any company selling a machine with a solenoid and a diverter should be banned from doing so.like one or the other isnt bad enough

a cleaner should have to take a test on how the system works before driving off the lot with said machine

PS what did HM's tech support suppose the problem to be be???
