Refining the question to saying "For those who send tech's out on their own or with an assistant, how do you pay them" the responses may be somewhat different. It is quite different having an assistant on a truck the owner is running than sending out 1-2 people on their own. This is where I believe commission or a form of hourly/salary + commission is the best scenerio.
