Do you give them a bonus?

If you do when do you?

How do you decide how much? Length of employment? Value to the company?

Is it too late to become a JW?

I'd save on bonuses!

I'm going to have to study like the dickens if I want to convert before Christmas. :very_drunk:

Can I cuss and be a JW?

If not there is no Fookin way will I make it.....not even long enough to get passed Christmas. ;)

My favorite (carpet cleaning) employer used to give me $1000 cash and a "Colorado Pass" to ski some of the best mountains in the country.

The Kid was happy...for a while.

Richard I love that movie! Can you imagine if that line was put in a movie today! There would be an uproar all over the media , picket lines at every movie place in town and the director and actors shunned.

... $1000 cash and a "Colorado Pass" to ski...
Ski Kansas pass! Right on!

OK, if skiing is out, maybe buy them Groupons for experiences like glass blowing or trapeze lessons. They'll either have fun or let you know they'd prefer the $500.

If you're serious about performance-based bonuses, don't tie them to Christmas at all, since they're not really a gift.

PS: Is there a search function on this BB? You could search for your annual "Christmas Bonus" question and ignore all the past advice too. :p

We used to do a mid year and a year end bonus before the economy fell apart. The last few years just a year end.
However no matter what we call it, they still consider it a Christmas bonus.

We are headed to Steamboat for Thanksgiving! My brothers live there.

I've never skied there but I plan on getting at least one day in.

Having resigned myself to having no employees.
Maybe I'll give myself a nice Christmas/Hannukah bonus by wasting my hard earned money on another over priced stereo earphones.

I love them.

It's an addiction.

I'm not proud of it.

But I can't help it.

:winky:

Yeah I have been looking at brecks totals and in the last two weeks almost 40 inches of snow.

I lived in Frisco, CO for 3 years. It's off I70 just east of Breck. Keystone was my favorite (Outback has tons of tree skiing and bump runs). Breck is awesome too! Still have some friends there. Copper is great but WAY too busy on weekends. Half of Denver skies at Copper every weekend.

How long does it take for you to get there Michael?

I did tons of carpet cleaning and WDR at an outfit in Silverthorne. They called me the "operations manager". Good guys, just didn't get to ski and enjoy life very much as I worked and was on call all the time.

I had a friend that used to own High Country Cleaning & Restoration in Frisco. Last time I heard from him he was getting into real estate. I think he sold the business.

Summit County is FULL of huge houses that sit vacant most of the year. Pipes freeze and are not discovered before doing a lot of damage.

Chavez, you guys would have a field day up there!

I bought (2) dozen gloves but didn't like the way they fit so I need to get them sent back. Went to Walmart and bought some for half the price but I really don't love them either. Still looking but at least they have something for now.

Hats on back order but most still have theirs from last year, coats we are good on. Shovels I have but I need all the snowblowers to go in for a tuneup and I need to get salt and sand in.

Pretty much done for the week!

Took me 4 hours to shovel from my door to the street, it was up to my shoulders with drifts.
They are calling for 5 feet in my area.

No words can describe it, first time in 40 years i had to shovel sideways.
