I have a few clients that prefer low moisture cleaning. I am scheduled to do one next week, in the past I have used a 175 with bonnets and vacaway encap green on this off white 15 year old nylon cut pile carpet, I have cleaned this carpet every year since it was new, always low moisture. The first few times with Host and then bonnets thereafter. I have a new tool in my box this year, a cimex with fiber plus pads, will this carpet stand up to the scrubbing of the cimex? I will not be lifting the cimex, this house has a ramp and the carpet is on the main floor.

wont hurt to try it on 1 room and see. you'll prolly find the 175 with cotton / blend bonnets do better. or u could replace the FP pads with 8" cotton / blend bonnets to.

I think it would be fine on Berber.

I have seen cut pile cleaned with the cimex brushes.

Why don't you try fiber plus pads on cut pile at your house and get back to us?

I use a Cimex on Berber all the time, does great. On cut pile I would be leery unless it's a trashed apartment that has already been "ruined".
