I would like some sugestions on the best product to use to brighten 30 year old indoor pool deck grout. The grout is clean and in exellent condition. The client does not want to use Acid or pay for color seal.It is about 3200sq. ft. of 1 inch squares.
Thanks

if acid and color seal is out you're left with a peroxide enhanced cleaner such as Magi Wand's Oxy Blaster or you could add 40vaol or Sodium Percarbonate (Oxy Clean ) to any alkaline grout cleaner you have.

letting the grout soak in 40 vol would be my first choice with the limitations set forth by your nut job client.

Why wont she let you use an acid?

Oxyblaster would be my choice also, matter of fact they have a "green" version that might interest this client.

For TnG I just add some floor stripper to the mix. Lay it down, scrub it in w/ CRB, and rinse with a redline spinner.

I carry a gallon of Miracle Grout Acid from Home D for spot cleaning.

Seems to work ok. Never tried 40 volume for grout before.

I agree that a peroxide boosted cleaner would work best. Our product in that category is Viper Peroxiblast powder. Used it on my driveway and got it looking great.

contact your local pool and spa chemical supplier
see if they have a clarifying product that is 27% peroxide. I am sure they will.
I got some for $14.40 a gallon and it dilutes with distilled water
2.25 quarts water to one quart 27%
to make 40 volume peroxide.
good for tile and grout, carpeting, upholstery.

Fred;

I talked to my pool service tech.

He says that all the clarifiers he uses, are all quats (cationic antimicrobials).

Quats cannot be used on stain-resist carpet fibers.
