Have started using a crb for agitation prior to extraction.

Has anyone has any problems with the creating a run with loop pile carpet?

That is always possible when using any powered brush on looped carpet. Pay attention to what you are doing to minimize the risk.

The longer brushes on a crb reduce the risk.

Shorter stiffer brushes on a vacuum increase the risk.

If you see loose yarn, cut it off and/or glue it back down. If that is not an option, just avoid the spot. A CRB will not pull out a yarn that is bound to the backing but it could further pull one that is already loose. Not common, but it could happen.

If I see them I hit them with my lighter and push it down back into the spot. It will never run or come loose after that.
