It really depends on where you live and what type of jobs you do. Here in Iowa a fresh water tank is a must in the winter. I worked for SS when I first started and they don't use water tanks. We had to hook up at every job even when it's 30 below outside.. The standard procedure was to take the 5gal jug and fill it with hot water from the bath tub. Then slowly pour it over the outside water faucet until it thawed out. What a pita that was.. We cracked so many faucets/pipes each winter doing that... I'd get a 100-110 gal. tank if you get one. I got a good deal on the 60 gal. tank I have right now but I always need to fill it up at one point during the day. I wish now I would have just got another Water Well.
