What type of machine does everone have? How old with how many hours? Any major problems? I have a 2007 Vortex 7000H, 2 months old 300 hours and a Blueline thermalwave, 3 years old 3000 hours.
None of this is important just interesting.

Thanks for playing
David

1993 Butler in a GMC with 10,000 hours and about 225,000 miles on original drive train. Still doesn't burn any oil and has been a work horse. Very little problems if any in it's life time. Unfortunately the body is getting it's typical rust and hard to keep looking good. It has made the family a lot of money since 1993! It is just sitting as a back up. We currently use newer Butlers, 1997 (in a Chevy) with almost 5000 hours and 88,000 miles and a 2000 (also in a Chevy) with 110,000 miles and 2500 hours. Love em! I am currently looking to add another used Butler and use the 97 as my back up.

Like anyone cares, 1994 Ford van 148,000 miles with a EZ3047 in it. The EZ3047 has 1486 hrs, 4 years old, put new pump, heat exchanger, engine and waste tank on it after its 4th birthday.( built a EZ2736 with the used parts and sold it). EZ1633 with 105 hrs. is my backup machine in a trailer. They have been good for me because I can work on them if need be.

07 chevy express 1 ton 6.0 extended 9.5-10 k miles. With a 06 cds 4.8 with salsa near 600 hours. Only problem so far is they exhaust from the blower wasn't hooked to the salsa/silencer right from the start. Fixed it and I'm getting 230-240 all day.

Boxxer427 Hydramaster.... 1575 hrs on it. Nice performer. Dependable so far.

Anyone know what kind of lifespan these things have???

That question is all about relativity. Could be 2000 hours, could be 20,000. I got 7K pretty easily out a spitfire, she is in backup mode cause of her temperment.

I would expect you to get 5K no problem with the 427.

I have a maxx470 with 714 hours. Only problem I had, was I burned through the belts once, and I had a pressure regulator go bad.

I have a 1999 Hydramaster 4.7 CDS with 947 hrs on it, I bought it a yr and a half ago with 550 hrs. No major problems as of yet, throttle cable broke last spring, but thanks to a few people on here I was able to get it fixed and the pods adjusted without having to reschedule anything.

I bought a 96 performer 405 in april with 400 hours on it. now it has 530 hrs. I had a thermostat microswitch go out, and a had to replace a few o-rings when the freezing weather became too much for my portable heater. but thats it. I'm back to running 230 degrees. I'm pretty impressed with how well it endures my ignorance.

machines

Any machine will last a long time with the proper maintenance. I have machines that I service that have 7000-8000 hrs on them but I also have machines that I service once in a blue moon that only have 2000 hrs that are falling apart because they take them to horrible service shops that don't know what they are doing. It's all in the maintenance. take care of it and it will take care of you.

OMG- Just as I suspected. Most guys don't work as close to as much as they say. I bought Matt Kings Genesis 59 1 yr. ago to go with my HM CDS. It took awhile to get it installed and working correctly and I've used it "maybe" for the last 6 months and have put 800 hours on it. Right now it's at 2000 or above for a 2005.

33hrs a week is pretty steady machine time Doug. I know guys who don't put that many on in a month.
