Can someone tell me the difference in a $44 dollar, 12vt 7ah battery that comes from a CCing distributor and $19 dollar 12vt 7ah battery that comes from a hobby shop that specializes in radio control goodies?

They both look exactly the same in dimension and amp hour ratting.

Why does the one at a CCing supplier cost over twice as much?

My guess is the distributor's battery has the wire leads already coming off of the terminals (with connectors) and has the black protector band around the terminals.

The other place does not.

meat;

The difference is whom the battery was purchased from, not the mark-up.

If you buy it from the sprayer manufacturer, the price will be higher.

If the distributor buys it from a dealer who sells tens times the number of batteries, the price will be lower.

We are at $23.95.

Some of the newest batteries are improved to 8 AH.

yes larry but in GENERAL you would have to agree that 3/4 of the mark-ups at dealers are just plain re-dickulas...

would you not???

Some distributors do have a substantial mark-up.

I do see that lots of cleaning customers DO NOT shop around for the best pricing.

With the internet, you should check several vendors on a basket of popular cleaning items to compare the total cost.

Yep, lots of items where the CC distributor bends us over, but sometimes ya just need it and dont have time to check around...for example: swivel fitting for live solution reel...$66 and it only lasts 6 months! WTF!

You are correct, MEEster Luddy
(If your guess is right)

Floorguy, They're exactly the same "size and ah".
The battery from the hobby shop didn't come with terminals
(I used my old ones)
No black protective band (large shrink wrap) around the bottom either.

Larry, do the ones you sell come with terminals and shrink wrap?

Anyone know "for sure" if the ones from other distys come w/terminals and shrink wrap?
