Most churches are just businesses. Tax free popularity contests. If you tell everybody what they want to hear, more people come, they build a bigger church, and the preacher can feel better about himself because he just installed a rock-climbing wall and an Olympic sized swimming pool. Not to mention Starbucks and a bookstore, maybe a car lot... I love cold-call marketing to churches because it's the only cold call where I will ever politely be told no... And most of those churches are loaded...
