If you're in a position to use the 2HT (not a high rise or lock-in) then you'll get much hotter temps with the propane heater than with an electric. Electric heaters are what you use when you have no other choice.

John;

The Mytee is a good electric heater @ 8189 BTU.

That does not compare to a #2HT - 65,000 x 80% = 52,000BTU.

We have customers that use them both.

John-

If you change your cleaning stroke an electric will work, but, there is no comparison to using an LP heater.

For an electric heater, use hot water going into the pump (within it's recommended high range), and do fewer wet strokes on each pass before you do the dry strokes. Give it time to keep up.

If you have access to 240V, you can use one of the electric Volcano heaters from Steambrite (up to 6000 watts).
