...I'd like your suggestions.
The floor will be approx. 16X22 and have a 8" X 22' drain. The floor will of course slant toward the drain. Tom M. visited a plant that had a wash floor with groves similar to what a rake would make in the sand. The groves traveled toward the drain. He said the floor allowed water to run under the rug for cleaning and additionally allowing easier rug movement. I'm seriously considering doing the same. I'm open to any other useful ideas.

Your comments or suggestions prior to us making the pour are welcomed.

Curbs and a stopper for soaking might be worth considering.

We wore our slick floor out (it became exposed aggregate before we refinished it) and I don't think there was any benefit to having water passages under the rugs. It was and is far easier to move a wet rug on the slick floor. The groovy people may be on to something, but I'd also be concerned about whether you'd wear through the grooves and shorten the lifespan of your floor.
