Now you like swivel wands?
It's a pain in the ass cleaning next to toilets in a home.
My vote also goes to the Turbo Hybrid. It's really good. Although a great hard surface wand that gets under toe kicks and most importantly cleans all the way out to the edge would get bought as soon as I see it.
Spinners are great for open areas but all of them leave about an inch uncleaned at the edges/corners.
I know you've only just left TMelF, but try to do your best to catch up to modern cleaning techniques.
I've been here over a year grandpa. Time flies.
Turbo hybrid is better than Sx. IMO The tool is just built better. Performance might be close to the same. But the sx12 just feels like 2 pressure washing guns screwed on to a 1.5 wand. The SX12 will dry a bit better. But it is barely noticeable. The 15 inch version of both aren't that great. They are just not very maneuverable.
The turbo hybrids are "throw in back of the truck" tough.
Honestly it is just silly to not have one on the truck. Hard surface wands are great. But magic happens under a spinner.
Personally I believe that any real professional should have at least 4 turbo hybrids on the truck at all times. I'm looking at you Saiger . No 17 inch turbo hybrid= hack.
I have both and prefer the sx-12. It's still all original parts and I've had it since they first came out. The hybrids ring is already coming apart and the valve leaks. I hate the location of solution line, could catch a wall and my hand gets burned once in a while. I see on Chavez turbo it's missing the rings that hold the pins, which get in the way when going under cabinets. Bad design, they have to be cut off. Didn't notice any difference in the dryness of the tile.
How about a free cobra with purchase of the TH40 Turbo Hybrid, plus free shipping for only $826? I may be a bit biased here, but I think Turboforce is better... :-)
No they're not.
You're just too new to know.
Then let's see a spinner and a tile wand (a good tile wand) side by side at the MF.
We see it all the time Matt. Lots of experience with various Geckos too.
Very green, some seem to be.
I wouldn't be without my tile spinner. Had my Sx12 for 11 years now. Still going strong.
I'm not too new. I've been in this business for 15 years.
With that aside
I've used a P.O.S. Mytee spinner that dixie steamway in Marty's beautiful inbred state screwed me on, and with my tight budget at the time '06 I thought most of the spinners were all the same after that, so I bought a tile wand, and used it since then.
But, you've got me thinking about the spinner again, so I'm debating about the 15" or the 12" that you suggested. Whichever has the lowest design and best extraction, I'll be getting very soon
12" Turbo Hybrid. Low design for getting under most toe kicks and around toilets usually. For residential.
We currently have a special on the Turboforce 12" with free Cobra Hand Tool and Free Shipping for $795.
Funny how they pretty much disappeared
I use a spinner tool, a grout brush, and if needed, a cobra hand tool. The spinner is great for large open rooms.
Seemed like a great deal and I've been booking a fair amount of tile lately so I finally pulled the trigger on a spinner.
Last tile job with my Gecko tile wand today and I about chucked it in the lake. Not sorry to see it go. Can't wait to get the Turbo Hybrid.
The Cobra is a turd unfortunately
Too many cleaners, like Matt think they can get buy with just a tile wand. A big surprise is awaiting them.
