Homeowner has done everything wrong with the floor.
-Uses a Shark Steamer
-String mops
-Applied a topical coating three times over 9 years without proper cleaning.

and never mopped up the excess topical in the grout line after they made mud with it...

Only scraping/grinding or a gel based coating stripper is going to get it off..

That is a very expensive floor. Pillowed Beaumaniere Limestone, we've done quite a few of these.

This is where Klenztone does a good job.

as far as the topical, that last little bit here and there is the hardest to get off. It sucks they had to put so much crap on there.

I have to think they contaminated the topical with dirt from the un-steam cleaned floor. They admitted that they did not wipe up some of the puddles in the grout lines....hence the brown plastic all over....

Think that's bad, I have a customer with that stuff in his bathroom. The floor in front of the toilet is pissed up and smells like....... Wait for it...... Piss! They didn't understand why I didn't have some "magical piss removal spray" and actually said "don't you plumbers have some spray that will clean thar cleans piss off your tools". I said we don't pee on our tools to mark them, so, no.

I'm just kidding.

for the dirt, Klenztone i the best, but you have to protect everything else.

I have a client with 40,000 feet of this that I service several times a year.

I recently used this to strip an old urethane based sealer on 1400 sq ft of pavers. I am looking forward to trying this on something similar to what you have. This stuff worked very well with 15-20 mins of dwell. http://www.dadseasyspray.com/contractor-grade
