proper way to remove dye from a candle wax spill..???

need insight.. and yes i removed all the wax. just couldnt get the color out from the candle..... (synthetic carpet)

so whats your method? and what chems are you using?

what color??
i did a yellow soy candle spill today.
pro solve gel and power gel
got the wax and color at the same time..
i have a problem with reds.
this one way yellow on cut pile and was fresh

Scott, melting the candle wax out, works fine with white candles and some colored candles...... BUT

The softer the wax ( more likely to be boutique or home made ) or the darker the candle color, the more likely that using heat on the stain will result in your "setting" the color into the carpet.

Step 1/ Use knapping shears to cut off as much wax as possible.
Step 2/ Use a seratted edge or gum getter to brush off even more wax.
Step 3/ Use a gel, like pro-solve to dissolve before extracting the rest of the was.

Use no heat beyond hot water from your extractor, works every time.
