Do they use a large drive pulley bolted to the front of the Vans idler pulley, to run belts for the clutch?

I know my Butler (Backup tm) has an added pulley to the engine for the clutch, but its SMALL.

I want to replace it with a larger (10"+) to speed the machine up.

Has anyone done this before?

I'm not an engineer, Ashley, but won't a larger drive pulley slow the speed??

Sounds like you are about to open a can of worms or you might be updating your machine. Your drive pulley is secured to the harmonic balancer (old style) running dual belts to the electro clutch with a small idler for adjustment. The new style has a serpintine belt clutch drive that fits in line with your existing belt and pulleys. When mine was updated (changed) to the serpentine style, we were reinstalling it into another van so moving the complete cleaning machine back an inch or two to keep from shorting the drive shaft.

To change your rpms use the pulleys at the machine end.
