How can you tell if it is the newer style? Can an old style be "updated?

swoop/L shaped vac ports, vac hose mounts to bottom plate in front of handle on i version instead of in back of handle and is 2" rather than 1.5", one button quick release handle on i instead of two knobs.

It's actually 1 knob to release the old style. I'll do one better and get a video to put on youtube showing the difference. !gotcha!
