Santa Clara County Carpet Cleaners

Hi,
I'm wondering who in Santa Clara County doesn't use a water softener in the truck and if not have you seen unloader failures. My Butler unloader has been failing every few weeks and the inside of it looks like it's been exposed to something corrosive. I have talked to San Jose Water and they said because of the drought they're using much more ground water which would be harder water. For those cleaners using a water softener, what one do you use? We just can't figure out why I'm having this problem, I run only Butler cleaner through the unit.

Im over in Aptos and ran without a fresh tank in my Butler and had lots of build up problems.

Sold the Butler and now have Kinetico Softners (dealer in Campbell) and have zero water or corrosion issues.

If your rinse has STPP in it that may be the source of your issues.

Nice thing about those units is other than adding salt every so often, there's zero maintenance.
